You may have heard of collagen treatments, but did you know that collagen was thought to be a miracle protein by researchers and chemists (if only it were biochemically active)? That is what they set out to find in one research study that took over 16 years to complete in Poland. Now we are learning that these researchers and chemists may have been onto something. Collagen in cosmetics is now being used everywhere. But would you believe that the licensed rights from this study are now being touted as a miracle anti aging formulation?
"It is the most powerful collagen protein in the world," says one network chief medical research correspondent. Baltic Collagen is a hit heard around the world, the only known treatment to instantly address overlapping signs of aging.
Skin Tightening Effects: The specialized compound demonstrates superior skin tightening properties that last for several hours after application. The preparation is also sold as both a face and body product that tightens skin of the face, neck, legs, abdomen and cheeks. Also noted, the product produces staggering results for getting rid of and tightening loose skin after weight loss.
As of 2010 there are thousands of anti aging skin treatments for face care in circulation today, the majority containing simplified generic ingredients. One of these simple ingredients led to a research study that could very well change the future of anti aging skin care. The subject is collagen, and already accounts for eighty percent of the connections in the skin, and thirty percent of the human body weight as a whole. There are about 15 different types of collagen with structural similarities, and conformational incongruities.
However, the chemist’s view of the aging process points directly to the collagen proteins in skin that age through time. Collagen levels taper off at about the age of twenty five, as the body's biological processes slow down. At the same time the collagen protein fibrils themselves change in structure as they become thin and less bulky. When this happens, skin loses the structural properties it once had. Collagen fibrils lose the ability to stretch and move in all directions.
Collagen research conducted with the Institute of Chemistry in Gdansk, has culminated in a new finding on this master protein. The biochemical properties of the molecule reveal a difference between its active and inactive states.
Collagen is of great interest to researchers today not only because of its role in the aging process, but also because of the potential benefits it could provide if it were recognized by the body as readily as its own bio-synthesized collagen proteins. If there were no difference from an applied collagen protein and the proteins naturally produced skin cells, the effects of aging would cease to commence.
The study resulted in a specially extracted collagen compound with quite possibly staggering anti aging properties. The ability of this anti aging product to absorb and unify with skin proteins is an unprecedented characteristic that proves efficacy beyond statistical norms. Follow up studies may lead to versatile applications beyond anti aging in the future.
